This was my first time planning a trip to visit an Asian country. I mean, I live in India and still never visited any Asian country. I have always travelled around India and for some reason never had the perfect travelling companion which I have found now i.e. my lovely husband.

We planned a 4 nights and 5 days trip and only chose to stay in Kuala Lumpur, since we both were looking for a relaxing nice trip with less adventure. Booked the hotel online and we chose to stay in Four points by Sheraton, which by the way was a delight to stay in. And if you are a deal searcher like me then is the best website to dive in. It’s in the heart of Chinatown and the view from our room was just fantastic.

The process of applying for a visa is also easy, you can upload all your documents on the Malaysian entri-visa website and they’ll send across the document within a day. You can simply apply for a tourist visa, provide your passport copy with legitimate booking details and can get an E-visa online. Currently, Malaysia is not providing visa on arrival (for Indian tourists) so it’s better to go prepared.

Another good news, the taxis and food are cheap in Malaysia, so felt like a rich person there. We planned our itinerary in such a way that we were able to cover all the tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur, plus had a ball enjoying the amenities provided by our hotel.

The skydeck at KL Tower was amazing, getting our pictures clicked in front of the Twin Towers was breathtaking. Acquaria is within the vicinity of the towers, so you can easily walk as well. Batu Caves was bit of a letdown as there was continuous rain during our visit, but do try the South Indian cuisines being offered at the entrance, simply delicious. Saloma link bridge is the most exquisite pedestrian bridge ever built in Kuala Lumpur and the most instragrammable place to visit.

The real time to see Kuala Lumpur is the time of Sunrise or Sunset. The city of lights shows it charms and glows like a nightingale. Witness a charming side of Kuala lumpur at night and you can take a night hop on hop off tour to experience some of the iconic landmarks from a whole different perspective and I am sure you are not going to be disappointed.
